week four

Week four was all about exploring photographs, and using photoshop. I have used photoshop alot in the past with school so i feel really confident with it. i am really excited to be using it again, as i had alot of fun with it.

today i have thought of a knew idea for a final, but i dont know if it can only be one final or more but i have an idea to do a triptich, a girl will be in gown and mask looking depressed, sitting on the ground with the dress puffed up around her arms. the second will be a girl in a gown but with no mask but not looking at the camera, she will be slouched across a chair with her back towards the camera and her arms and head resting on the head on the chair, the dress will be drapped all over the chair. and in the third i was thinking maybe she will be standing looking at the camera with no mask.
the story behind these will be the girl who is affraid to be herself, shes hiding behind a mask, then not showing her face, then showing who she is. also in each picture she will be getting higher as in her confidence, in the first she is on the ground, second she is sitting on a chair and third she is standing.

week three

This week was all about mobile phone art, and how to recieve art via bluetooth, unfortunantly for me my phone for some reason would not connect to the computer. i used this lesson for further research into my topic and how to make it more than just a topic, but to have meaning. I'm now thinking along the lines of focusing on masquerade balls and the message being something like not hiding behind a mask to be someone your not. With this message i just need to figure out how i'm going to work it into my art work and how to display it. I have one idea that i will get photos of people having fun and make a collage pf them all over a mask , having the meaning that this could be you if you weren't hiding behind the mask.
Obviously i have a lot of thinking to do about my art works but hopefully they will turn out great.

Today's lesson was more about all the possibilities of how you can manipulate a photo and display it on your phone, even though i was unable to fully experience how to do it, i was still able to follow the steps of how to set the computer and my phone, which i was unaware of previously.

week two

This week I explored using adobe illustrator. I have used the program previously in high school but not extensively, so learning all the basics again was a good recap from a few years ago. I have been thinking about what my folio of work will be based on, I like the idea of Milan fashion week an the masquerade ball and all the different types of fashion and masks that comes with them, I want to be able to incorporate the two together some how but I am yet to think of a message to go with the theme, so that is something i really need to think about.

Next week I hope to have more of a set idea on what I want to do for my folio and i am keen to learn more on how to make my folio to the best possible standard with the programs I am learning about.

Today in illustrator we learnt about text and how to manipulate it, to make it your own, which i found different and challenging yet i am satisfied with what i achieved.

week one

Week one was a good introduction to the class, i was able to learn about the different resources that the university had on offer and also what this course will entail.
From this class I am hoping to gain an understanding of the use of apple macs and how to use them. I am hoping to let my creative side out and create some really inspirational work for myself and others, using a range of different resources.

I have chosen this piece of art as its so very different from classic art, it has bright colours, it has a theme, and it moves!
This piece is inspirational to me as i would love to learn how to create something that has motion to it.
